If I were a judge at the GPHG, I would be truly hesitant when choosing a tourbillon watch. On one hand, there's the Louis Vuitton Tambour Taiko Spin Time Air Tourbillon, which blends Louis Vuitton's classic floating display with a flying tourbillon; on the other hand, there's Bulgari's new Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon, which once again broke the record for thinnest watch this year. However, after much consideration, I believe that breaking records is more important, so I chose the Bulgari Ultra Thin Tourbillon. The best Breitling Avenger replica watches at captainthewatch.is.
Bulgari has once again broken records with a 40mm diameter and a thickness of 1.85mm, marking the brand's tenth time setting a new record for ultra-thin watches. To house a tourbillon that requires extremely limited space while remaining thinner than a one-yuan coin at 1.85mm truly pushes the boundaries of watchmaking.
The Bulgari Octo Finissimo series features the iconic octagonal case, seamlessly integrating the case back with the mainplate of the movement, making the movement and case an integral part of each other. Meanwhile, the entire gear train of the movement is laid out on a single plane. At only 1.85 mm thick, it features a double-layered case structure. The bezel, middle case, and lugs are made of sandblasted titanium, while the mainplate is crafted from extremely hard tungsten carbide, ensuring maximum robustness. Inside, it houses the BVF 900 tourbillon movement, employing a manual winding system, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and a 42-hour power reserve.
