Today Is "Human Moon Day" and "Speedmaster Day"

Today 52 years ago, at 16:17 on July 20, 1969, Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on a predetermined area on the lunar surface with the Apollo 11 mission lunar module, realizing the first human landing on the moon. At that time, Buzz Aldrin was wearing the Omega Speedmaster watch. In order to commemorate the feat of human landing on the moon, July 20th is designated as "Human Moon Day" every year. Today is "Human Moon Day" and it is also Omega's "Speedmaster Day".

The 42 mm moon watch stainless steel bracelet consists of five arched links arranged side by side, polished and brushed, with a sapphire glass crystal and case back. Inspired by the style of the fourth-generation Speedmaster watch worn by humans when they landed on the moon, it is also equipped with an asymmetrical case, a black "stepped" dial, and an anodized aluminum bezel decorated with the Omega brand logo and famous "Dot over 90" mark.

The Omega Speedmaster replica watches dial is distributed with a small seconds dial, a 30-minute chronograph and a 12-hour chronograph. The three sub-discs are arranged at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock in sequence, inheriting the design style of the Speedmaster Moon Landing Watch. The case of the watch is made of stainless steel, and the crown and chronograph buttons on the side of the case also use this material. Omega uses 316L stainless steel. This material is known for its corrosion resistance and high gloss after polishing. It is usually an ideal material to create a watch in a high-strength environment.

The watch is equipped with the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 3861, which is a manual-winding coaxial chronograph movement. It is also called "the most Omega-flavored movement" by Omega fans. This movement has won the Swiss The industry's higher certification standard approved by the Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS)-the Master Astronomical Observatory certification, can withstand strong magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss.
